Template Freebies and Elements Reactivated.

Alright folks, I learned a lot about what people seem to like in Overlays. The Edgy one is very popular. I miss using the stamps to edge my real papers, too. I think it gives us back that look. Edgy Overlays with various edgings will be available at SBE next week, stay tuned. kimlizzy of SBE hosts a HOT challenge biweekly. HOT -> Hooked on Templates. I am sponsoring this week's challenge so won't you drop by and take a look? The download is a freebie to download. Post your layout and then you get the other layout for free as well.

AND back by popular demand, I've decided to upload my elements freebie again. Over 1000 downloads from the last. I have seen a lo here and there and would love it if you post your layout to credit me in the layout if you're using the freebie. :D
Don't forget to drop by VanillaDesignz blog, too. You are in for a treat. The download will be available until April 1 only, no April Fools joke. I will be responding to those that left a comment or emailed me directly. If you were one of those that were kind enough to leave a comment and help motivate me to reactivate the link but somehow passed the date, just email me. VanillaDesignz LO made of many of the freebies is a couple of posts down. Gislaine also used the Star Clusters. It's a few posts ago.

Download before April 1!!

Please visit my store at SBE to take a look. The flourish journal stamps like that in the sampler are available. They are not distressed so you can use them as is or distress them. To download securely, please click on the image below, choose Save As when prompted.

New Releases for March 30

The latest template freebie link is still active. The elements freebie link will expire today. Please check the archive posts to to those directly.

Some new releases for Sunday...

The first is the Sweet Pea kit. There are over 40 elements with lots of stitching, frames, word art and adorable little animals. You've got hanging frames, stitched frames, stitched and folded frames, totally cute towel on a hanger frame, and much more. Love swirlies? It has lots of those, too.

This is the Rusted Metals Styles. There are two versions, a personal-use and a professional-use. The styles are the same but priced a little bit differently based on the license. Enjoy! This style works for the later versions of Photoshop and Elements.

Meet Gislaine from Ireland!

I have not had a chance to ask Gislaine much about herself yet and I promise to! So come back sometime and get to know her a little bit better. She's my first Guest CT ever. LOL.

This is a layout she made the To Life Page Set, and I think those specks are from the freebie Star Cluster that was offered on this blog. The butterflies are from Melgen Designs, and everything else is from the To Life Page Set including the word art.

I love the ribbons tugging on the paper, how clever. But we all know the star of the layout is the totally cute photo. What a great smile. :D

Sneak Peeks!

This week, I decided to mix it up a bit.

First kit up is called Girlfriends. It comes with over 40 elements and word art, an alphabet, and 11 papers. With the elements are 9 rub-on flowers and wordart with a floral background. It's a little funky and fun.

The second kit is called Eastern Winds. The colors are more tranquil and calming. It comes with a bunch of elements, 12 backgrounds, and a cool rusted alphabet.

I also have a product called Build A Page. This basically consists of at least a paper (or a few), elements, and sometimes a layered template. This week's does not contain a layered template.

There are also a few styles available. Commercial-use is okay. This is new for me so it's priced pretty affordably for those interested.

A set of fancy journal tag brushes is new this week, too. There are two available sets, one for personal use and one for professional-use. If you need it for scrap4hire, and the final file is a flattened version where the original images cannot be extracted, it is okay to just get the personal-use.

The journal tags come with 9 PNG files and an ABR brush. The inner tags and outer tags are separated in both the brushes as well as the PNG files for more flexibility.

Last but not least, I have a new set of Grungy Overlays. I've seen some wonderful work done with the first set so I decided to put together a second one. If you do not know what these are and interested in learning a little more about them. I have a basic tutorial.

As you may know, I am a new designer so if you like my products and freebies, please let your friends know!

Okay, that is it. Phew! :D

This is NOT the final product. This preview is missing a swirl that also comes with the kit.

Scrapping Your Babies

Many scrappers out there love to scrap their babies. Most of the time it's those cuddly little cherubs that come out and melt your heart. Sometimes baby refers to that special sweetheart in your life. And sometimes, it's something else. My friend made this layout recently that I just had to share with you. It was a neat idea and her layout is very nice. She is new to scrapping and I cannot wait to see what else she comes up with.

New Releases for 3/8/08

I had a blast creating this week's releases. There are two new kits that are pretty different from each other, but I really had a great time creating both.

The first is called Happy Doodley. The name speaks for itself. It is full of playful and very bright and colorful photos. The chickies are adorable and the elements are fun fun. It's just doodley. These colors are great for fun Easter layouts, children's layouts, and whatever your creative minds can dream up.

This yummy kit consists of 14 delicious papers, 33 elements, 4 adorable word art, and a complete lowercase alphabet. Fun fun. The papers are also available separately.

The second kit is called Wildflowers. This is a contrast to Happy Doodley with its warmer, earthier colors and soft feel. This kit is composed of 11 gorgeous papers and an absolutely beautiful transparency. The transparency is my favorite part. There are also 33 coordinating embellishments and to top it off, a totally cool, complete torn cardboard alphabet set. The papers as well as the elements/alphabet set is also available separately.

You are invited to join my mailing list to receive product previews, freebies, and tutorials. Please send an email to ptonscraps@... with "mailing list" in the subject line. You can also visit my My Blog for weekly freebies. They are usually released on Wednesdays.

I have really enjoyed joining the SBE family with the coolest designers and a wonderful and supportive Creative Team.

Here is the beautiful Wildflowers:

And the adorable Happy Doodley:

I also have a Basics Overlays set that has just been released. Professional-use is okay with no credit required. There are 8 handy overlays for your designer toolkit.

Use the lasso tool to cut out the letters to your delight. This set also includes two brushes, one for crayon and one for chalk writing. Try using the crayon brush color several colors, add another layer and use black to color over your first layer. Now use the erase tool, change your brush and draw away. Files were created in 300 ppi. Brushes are .abr and tested with Photoshop CS.

Grungy, Textured Overlays 1

Are you a designer or maybe you just want more options to customize your papers? I absolutely love overlays, even way before I began my venture as a designer, okay, so that may not have been that long ago. ;)

This is my first set of overlays available exclusively as SBE. I wrote a little tutorial for those who are curious about what overlays are all about. Check out this little tutorial.

This is okay for professional-use. You cannot resell or distribute the original files. You cannot create other professional-use items for resell, unless it has been significantly altered. I understand that these are textures and can enhance your designs. If it has been deeply integrated into your own designs it probably is okay. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

This is a set of 6 grungy, textured overlays. These are great for creating your own papers or blend with your other digital design projects. Mix and match different overlays, mix with patterns, and experiment with different blending options to create your own original designs.

In this set are 6 .png files and created at 300 ppi. Have fun creating!

This set comes with a professional-use license with no credit required. See TOU for more information

A Little Bit About Me

Hi there,

First of all, thank you very much for dropping by. I'd love it if you would leave a comment. :D

My name is Phuong, my nickname is pton, hence Pton Designs. I have been scrapping a little bit here and there for years but I really started in 2005. I found the digital scrapping world sometime early in 2007 so I am fairly new to this. I am an engineer by day and in that totally different world from scrapping that I am immersed in, I find it equally rewarding and satisfying.

I absolutely adore Photoshop. I am a true addict. I also love food, video games, movies, books, and the list goes on and on.

I have two wonderful boys. They are my my inspiration, passion, love, heart, and soul. I have always wanted to be a mother for as long as I could remember, and I knew it would be wonderful, but I had no idea how absolutely fulfilling it is. I may never be able to go a day without worrying over every little thing again, but I cannot imagine my life in any other way.

Let me introduce you to my two wonderful sons.

This is Sean, he is four now. He is the sweetest boy ever. He taught me how to care for another more than myself, patience, kindness, and he made me want to be a better person. Sean has always been a joker and brings a smile to face each day.

This is little Ethan. His adorable face always lights up my day and he came out with his own fiery personality. He's a bundle of joy. Ethan and Sean adore each other and they make me feel like I am the luckiest person, which I am of course, in the whole wide world.

Ethan's Layout is made from Amanda Sok's Alluring Autumn Collection and Erica Hite's Bird of Fancy Brushes. The word art and photo wrap is by Katie Pertiet. The clipped flower is also from Amanda Sok.

Ah, and last but not least, my DH. I adore him, too, LOL. We have our differences, but in the end, I could not ask for a better husband. He is supportive, helpful, and sometimes surprisingly sweet.

This is not the most flattering picture of ours, but I chose to post it here because I think it shows how much we have grown.
Look at those wrinkles. We look so much older than we did not too long ago, before kids, mortgages, and all the responsibilities. However, I think we are truly happier now than we have been in the past. We have two beautiful and absolutely wonderful boys. We have been through so many ups and downs. We earned those wrinkles together. There are times I wish were easier, but in the end, we have managed to stay together and triumph. I think we look really happy here and we are.

So there you have it, a brief introduction of myself and a little bit from our corner of the world. Thank you for taking the time to read this. It means a lot to me. :D
