September Desktop Challenge

I was itching to do some scrapping today but didn't have much mojo so I worked on one of my favorite challenges, the monthly desktop challenge. I love covering my screens with all the pretty elements and of course, some photo of my favorite people in the whole world.

September Desktop for the SBG monthly desktop challenge.

Natali Design's beautiful Appletime Overlays. This set is just gorgeous and the shadowing and perspective..WOW. She's done all the amazing magic to it and I just get to use it! LOVE this set!

The beautiful background is from Lorie Davison's Before the First Snow ki...t.

Both are available at Scrapbookgraphics.

Last Few Days as Guest

I want to thank everyone for their support this month. I've had a wonderful time guesting at ScrapbookGraphics. In my personal experience, this site has the most amazing designers, not only in their creative work, but they are the most wonderful and warm group of people. I have a special place in my heart for the hardworking and talented Studio Crew. And the fellow guests this month.. wow what an amazing pool of talent. Thank you, Maya, Tangie, Kate, and everyone who has worked so hard to put this month together.

The kits in the store will only be available for a few more days. I've missed designing and I've really enjoyed working on these projects. :)

Mark your Calendars

Hopefully you have been able to download the free starter kit, Summer Soiree Starter Kit, from ScrapbookGraphics (via Facebook). Now continue that collection by joining the chat this Saturday.

Saturday August 28th will be our ALL DAY chat day starting 7 AM EST going through midnight EST or later.

You will be guessing who each mystery designer is, and once someone has guessed, you shall received that designer's contribution to Summer Soiree. So by the end of the day, you should end up with a big kit that all coordinates...and it's free!

Altered Inspired 2

I'm feeling a little inspired tonight and had a little fun. Just a little different direction than the last couple of kits. :)

Here's a mini kit, Altered Inspired 2.

http://shop.scrapbookgraphics.com/Altered-Inspired-2.html

This is a mini kit with basic backgrounds inspired by the Altered Art genre. These backgrounds contain textures often seen on altered art pages. They are meant to be a starter for your altered art project. Fill them up and print for digital altered art or create hybrid projects by printing the background/elements and then layer, paint, glue, let go of the rules and have some fun. Includes a couple of cracked layers that can be used to give your photos or elements some extra character.

Includes 5 backgrounds, 1 frame, 1 tape, 1 journal piece, 1 clip, 1 word art, and 2 cool cracks, one more subtle than the other.

Here's a layout. Come on moms, you know your kids feel the same way (yeah he's holding the camera backwards but he's trying). LOL.

Credits:
Background, journal sheet, tape, and frame from Altered Inspired 2.
Other elements from Lorie Davison's Rough to the Touch,
Studio Gypsy's Shrine 2, Holliewood's Junkyard, and camera/film elements from Holliewood's Mamarazzi kit.

7 Days in Your Life Layout Challenge

I found this fun challenge, just one of many great ones at ScrapbookGraphics this month.

Quote from the forum post:

CHALLENGE: Create a layout (any size) with a list of 7 activities, places you go, photos you took, or anything you have that will document a week or month in your life. It doesn't have to be documenting a consecutive number of days, it can be just 7 days in August (or any other month)!!

Hint: There may be some awesome free templates if you follow the link. ;)

I just had to play along with this fun challenge. Here's mine:

Template by Cindy Schneider,
Jofia's Sea oh Sea (shells),
Phuong's July Kit (tab papers and pink plumeria),

Be True - the kit

So I decided on "Be True". It's been awhile since I worked on a kit, and I hope you like this one. Coming to ScrapbookGraphics later this week.

What's in a name?

I made a layout with my newest kit, that will be released sometime soon. I'm not sure what to name it yet. Usually, I like a name and then create a kit around it. However, I'm drawing a blank on a name right now. Help!? :)
