The Daily Scrapper

Alice Koh of AliceKohDesigns.com has created a newspaper called TheDailyScrapper geared towards digital scrappers. It is great reading so add it to your morning routine. :)

Her team has taken Floral Grunge and reviewed it. I was pretty scared to have it done at first, but they don't *hate* it. Yay! LOL.

The first edition included an article from Leda Perry, my CT Coordinator and an overall sweet and lovely gal. I was moved to tears reading her article and ended up emailing it to all of my friends and family.

The second edition has come out. Drop by and give these wonderful ladies some support. There are some great reading material.

Her very talented team has also put together some amazing Quick Pages. If you love Floral Grunge, these are must have. They are available for a limited time only and only through TheDailyScrapper.

Tropical Quick Pages

This is a set of 5 Quick Pages for your beachy or tropical photos. It is available exclusively at SBE. Don't forget everything is 25% off this week! Well, *almost* everything. :)

Coloring Brushes

Someone asked me how to color the fancy journal tag brushes recently. I thought I would also post the answer here.

First, open your document. I am using a plain white background. Then create a new layer. Remember to create a new layer as this gives you more flexibility with your brush. I am using black, #000000 as my foreground color.

Notice that when I used black, I get a gray and black brush stroke. I am going to make it like the preview so the lighter gray should be the green color. Select the green that you like as your foreground color. I am using #bfd96c.

The first option is to use the bucket tool and just go to the gray colored areas and fill them in.
Select the paint bucket tool and fill in the gray areas.

Or you can use color selection.

Select your brush layer if it is not selected. Go to Select-> Color Range from the menu. When the color range menu comes up, click on the Image radio button and preview that you like, I used None. Click on the gray color from the small window. Click okay when after you clicked on the gray area.

You should have the dancing ants around your gray area.

Make sure the green that you want is still the foreground color (on top), hold down the ALT key and hit the backspace key.

A little layout

This layout is not artistic or anything. I know it's rather normal but I wanted to post it here because I have not had a chance to scrap at all in such a long time. :)

Tagged!

Okay so I have been tagged by the lovely Stephanie of lsdsdesigns. I went to her blog and read what to do next. My french is limited, what a lovely language it is, so I used babel fish. :)

This is the translation:
by a member of my ct whose I adore the pages. It is about more known Astrid under the pseudo one of Gwadatiti!! This time it is about a literary tag. Here the principle: The book should be caught nearest To go on page 123 To find the 5th sentence To recopy the 3 following sentences And finally taguer 5 other people while going to inform them on their blogs. Or was it about a dream? This kind of thing arrives, in the dreams, when one burns to take them for reality. But the voice of Sam continued to resound, in echo, with my ear. Extract of the “Magic Circle” of Katherine Neville In my turn of taguer 5 people…. - Coralie: designeuse that I adore - Besancon-native: uen designeuse that I adore - Angelhugo: a chick who makes beautiful cro pages! - Akiloune: to wish him welcome ds the team digital-created - Mag: still a chick who makes beautiful cro pages! I from there will prevent myself them!!

So........
I think I am supposed to grab the nearest book, go to page 123, and copy the 5th sentence.
ahah I am at work so my nearest book might not be that exciting for you...

Here it is...
They include: authentication of the mobile by the network, allocation of traffic channels, training data for channel measurement, transmit power level, and acknowlegement of correct reception of data. - Fundamentals of Wireless Communication by David Tesa, Pramod Viswanath
ooh exciting right? :P

My turn to tag five people...
1. Helene D. at http://www.jeuxdemaux.com/ whose layouts I love.
2. VanillaDesignz http://vanilladesignz.blogspot.com/ an amazing artist.
3.
okay gotta run to be continued!

The blog header is a little bit small. LOL. I was just playing around on the computer last night. I will need to get that fixed when I get home today. Oh wait, today I promised to spend time with my sons so I guess not. :)
